Sadly ...
I've discovered, to my dismay, that I can't sit out on our balcony and use my laptop during these unbelievably nice spring days. This is not because of my fear of heights (which is really an irrational fear of falling from great heights), as it seems that my sitting on the balcony doesn't disturb me nearly as much as my standing on it; no, instead it seems that the reason I can't sit out there and type away at a screenplay or random blog entry is because there's just waaaaay too much glare on the screen. It was so bad, I couldn't even make out the outline of Superman (my background is an awesome Alex Ross image from the ComicCon a few years back). It's really a shame, because I have one of those really nice round padded folding chairs and it's really nice outside. The best I can hope to achieve is to go out with a notebook and pencil. Of course, that leaves me at the mercy of the atrocious winds we suffer here.
C'est la vie ...

Ironically, Superman, in the aforementioned image, is backlit, so that some of the details on him are in shadow. It'd be nice if the light weren't bouncing off the windows and walls ... my monitor works just fine when the light is coming from behind. :-P
At night there is no glare, or you could get a large umbrella to block the sunlight....P.S. Rent DareDevil The Directors Cut, it is awesome especially if you have seen DareDevil because it shows you that it could have been a good film if the directors vision would have been kept true...-Dan
Oh, those crazy irrational fears...
I'm with you.
He just trying to blame it on the lighting. We all know he's scared to be on that balcony.
Dad Said:
